TAMPERE, September 3, 2018 – Rightware, the leading provider of automotive user interface software, has opened a new R&D site in Tampere, Finland. Rightware’s Helsinki headquarters houses the majority of its 70+ employees, and the Tampere office is coming online as the first dedicated satellite R&D site with a team of five employees, set to double by the end of the year.
Founded in 2009, Rightware has grown steadily in both headcount and revenue. In the recent Tivi 250 report, Rightware was ranked the eighth-fastest growing ICT company in Finland with revenues up 91% in 2017. The new R&D site reflects the position of Kanzi as the UI development tool of choice for leading automotive brands worldwide, in addition to Rightware’s commitment to developing advanced features and expanding the Kanzi product family.
“The decision to ramp up R&D in Tampere was a natural one for us,” said Matti Turunen, Vice President, R&D, Rightware. “The engineering talent pool here is outstanding, and the close proximity to Helsinki will ensure a tight connection with our global headquarters.”
The new offices are located at Technopolis Yliopistonrinne, which offers excellent access via both public and private transport. Open positions are posted on the Rightware career page at www.rightware.com/careers.
