Technical Requirements

Kanzi runs with the following minimum technical requirements:

Kanzi Studio:


  • Windows 7, 8, and 10.
  • Mac supported via Bootcamp or Parallels
  • Graphics card with support for OpenGL 3.3 or later
  • 1GB of RAM (2 GB recommended)
  • For application development with Kanzi Engine: Visual Studio 2013 or Visual Studio 2015

Kanzi Engine on target platform


  • Kanzi for OpenGL ES platforms:
    • Support for OpenGL ES 2.0 or higher
    • C++ 98 TR1 compiler
  • Kanzi Lite for microcontrollers
    • CPU and display out

Supported File Formats

Kanzi supports importing content from leading design tools. The following file formats are supported:

  • .png, .jpg, Adobe Photoshop .psd (with layers), .dds, .bmp, .exr, .gif, .hdr, .ico, .iff, .jng, .jif, .mng, .pcx, .pmb, .pgm, .ppm, .pfm, .pict, .ras, .sgi, .tiff, .tif, .wbmp, .xmb, and .xpm
  • Support for ATC, ETC and PVRTC texture compression algorithms
