Graphics Tests
Basemark X is unique in many ways. Most notably, it is the only vendor-independent benchmark that utilizes the popular Unity 4.2 game engine which is used by thousands of mobile games. This means that Basemark X scores correlate exceptionally well with real-life gaming performance.
Basemark X includes two game-like graphics tests: Dunes and Hangar. Both tests contain heavy graphics content rendered with detail and complexity, thus pushing the measured device to the limit. The polygon counts in test sequences are up to 911,000.
The tests feature PC game- quality visuals, rendering and post processing effects.
In the end of the tests, Basemark X produces a high quality and objective score based on the total frame time needed to complete the test workloads.
Final Score = [FPS (dunes) + FPS (hangar)] *5000/REF_VALUE
Note: REF_Value is the fps achieved with Samsung Galaxy S 4 (GT-I9505)
The higher the score, the better the performance of the device.
